The Sony α1 is a full-frame mirrorless interchangeable-lens camera by Sony that was announced on January 27, 2021.[2] The α1 was announced together with the Xperia Pro smartphone, which can be used as an HDR monitor and a 5G transmitter.[3] The camera became available in March 2021 starting at US$6500 and is aimed at professional photographers and videographers, covering wildlife, sports, action and landscape.[4]
