What I make my photographs with. Actually papers exposed in this camera obscura later developed becomes paper negatives. Then I go again into the darkroom and make a contact print and get a positive image.
This camera was made by Ismet Eras, a woodworker and a fantastic person, I made the drawings in Autocad defined all the pieces that was gonna be cut, then we worked together with Ismet.
Bellows were made by Andrey Donchev, a top of the notch camera maker who later started making bellows as well. His cameras are like Bentleys or Rolce Royces.
American Cherry wood was used for this camera, and metal parts some are brass some are just plain polished iron.
It is of course hard to deal with this camera, the tripod for this (the elevating table thats under the camera) was made by me and a real master atelier guy of my father-in-law. Ive seen the table on the web and tried to replicate it. The one I was on the web was more like a furniture and mine is just raw, still rust on iron parts and the wood is not finished with anything. Some day I may get the iron parts oven painted and the pine wood I may finish with some oil.
This is the studio space right now as Im looking through the glass to the outdoor scene camera is close to the window thats opening up to that area.
I used to make wet plate collodion images with this camera but those days are over and its serving for my paper negatives right now.
In this photo it has a 750mm f/9 to f/90 Zeiss Jena Apo Tessar on it. Still need to make a cap for this lens as this cap is my Voigtlander 480 mm f/4.5 's.
Here you can see an old photo of the camera and the indoor studio setup.
