When you're dealing with anything that involves electricity, you've got male and female connections that serve as either the input or the output.
With camlock, it's pretty simple; but, if you get it wrong -- ya die.
Originally, the male and female connections didn't make sense to me visually. It's just that the male is supposed to go inside of the female. With camlock, the male wraps around the female.
The way I kept is seared in my brain was thinking of the male camlock connection as an uncircumcised male. Ya know, it's got a hood around the thing that's doing the business.
Since then, when I've been training people on heavy power, I've been using that analogy.
