Every night....

Sleeping outside, one gets in tune with nature.

First the dusk, then the crickets, then the moon brightens and stars move, then the dogs howl to each other across the valley. Beautiful music, all of it. Long after the crickets go silents... moments of dream disturbed by either roosters 'round 4am, or the coldest point of the night, somewhere from 4-5. The roosters continue crowing every half hour or so, and so I know which time of dawn begs me to awaken, to continue onto the next movement.
