Camping While Social Distancing!

In my last post I mentioned we went camping last weekend and it was wonderful and also relatively safe.

The camp ground has privately owned spaces and all public areas and facilities are closed. People are still allowed to camp in their own spaces which we did.

Since the sites are owned most of us who camp there know each other and have many ways of communicating.

Our personal rules were to not share food and drinks, all sleeping arrangements included immediate family only and whenever there were gatherings to keep it under 10 people and include 6 foot spacing (imperfectly, but mostly)

We played lawn Yahtzee by having each player roll the game, disinfect the dice and the next mega turn. We BBQ'd with one family at a time and no cross handling of food.

One of the best things we did was a Golf Cart Parade though the grounds with 20 Golf Carts, Cocktails and dropping off items to those who could participate.

There were nightly fires and mostly just enjoying being in the fresh outdoors.

We've decided to spend several weekends up there over the next few weeks.

I hope you are also finding ways to enjoy life while still minimizing personal contact.

Looks nice 👍

It was really nice!

People should do this, going somewhere far into the nature and having the fresh air there. Avoid those crowded closed space buildings/areas as much as possible.
