Sources say the Atlanta Hawks traded the New York Knicks from Kevin Knox and Kim Redsch for the first-round pick.

Sources told ESPN on Thursday that the New York Knicks are gaining a foothold in the trade with the Atlanta Hawks.

Sources said that the Knicks are forwarding Kevin Knox II and the first round of 2022 draft picks through the Charlotte Hornets to the Hawks for Reddish, Solomon Hill, and the second round of 2025.

Reddish, the 10th pick in the 2019 draft, fell victim to the Hawks roster of overpopulated talented young wing players. It eventually left him without a role or path to extending the deal - and the Hawks preferred to move it before the February 10 trade deadline.

Reddish, 22, has averaged career points this season in points (11.9), field goal percentage (40%), and freestyle throw (90%). He is also shooting 38% on 3-pointers this season, up from 26% the previous season.

Knox was the new choice in the 2018 draft, but it failed to get attention in New York.

Charlotte's first-round picks are secured by the Top 18 in 2022, the Top 16 in 2023, and the Top 14 in 2024 and 2025. If not delivered before 2026, then these two become the second round of selection.
