Canada's 150th Birthday Is Nothing But A Statist SHAM! - Don't Fall For It!

On this, Canada's 150th birthday, social justice warriors have temper tantrums begging the government for more extortion, all while the Canadian "patriots" make love to a piece of cloth with a maple leaf on it as if being Canadian is something to be proud of.

Both are enamoured by the glassy eyed cultist religion of statism. Both sides bow down to a collectivist order without a second thought about individualism.

Freedom isn't being able to watch Netflix and wave a flag. It's about having absolute say over your person. To walk freely without regulative control, or monetary robbery. For aggression to only be used in defense of life, liberty and property. To be born into a world without being plunged into a contract you never signed.

I am not proud to be part of some communistic social contract collective. I'm proud to be an individual standing on whatever piece of land I'm currently standing on.

Canada doesn't exist.

Only the belief perpetrated by a coercive state, scheming with sweaty palms, depending on their pawns to revere their chains.

Be proud of what you've done. Be proud of what other individuals have done, even if part of a voluntary collective. Don't find pride in an enforced collective put at gunpoint by your perpetuated statist views.

If you want to be free, I ask that you start acting like it. Freedom is intrinsic. It comes from within. Not from government.

As long as there is government, there is no freedom.

Cool post Josh. Hope you're enjoying your day regardless :)

lol Thanks! I'm a happy guy, I just don't mince words when it comes to freedom. :)

I totally respect and appreciate your passion and directness. :) I just want to make sure you keep that glowing mane of hair intact into your 40's. :)

Love the post - my sentiments exactly - today at our celebrations here in Boissevain they have a parade of flags from people who now make this area their home, my wife and daughters will be carrying the Russian flag in this parade at 6 PM today -I'm not only up voting this but I'm resteeming it too ))

lol! Well I wish you luck! XD

Great article man! I couldn't agree more. Folks like you and I weren't born to salute a redcoat flag and lick boot!

No we weren't and I'll be damned if I'm going to bow down to the queen or some made up collective people swarm to like a cult.

Yeah, fuck that.

Yep. Excellent post. I could not agree more. I don't go anywhere near town in this red day.

meep

lol I wish I could stay away, but I have the job of trolling people on the street each Canada day and quizzing them about statism on camera. :P

Hey, and I am so grateful for all of your work.

Canada is one of the least free countries in the world. Try to cut down a tree on your own property without a government permit. Try to build a deck in your backyard without a permit.

Big year this year. This year we should also be celebrating the 100th anniversary of being extorted by this "free" country...... I mean, paying the war tax........I mean, income tax. That's what I'll be celebrating today, in a sarcastic sort of way.

Doesn't the queen of England still own Canada?

Once, when I was a kid, I got roasted for shoplifting and was required to write a letter of apology to the queen. In my apology I managed to site a fair bit of her crimes throughout in very clever ways that pointed them out blatantly but glorifyied her regardless. The officer assigned to proof my letter cracked a smile when he finished, and then had me do a painting on canvas for the community center instead. :P

It's complicated. See Patriation for explanations:

Patriation was the political process that led to full Canadian sovereignty, culminating with the Constitution Act, 1982. That Act was necessary because after the Statute of Westminster, 1931, Canada decided to allow the British parliament temporarily to retain the power to amend Canada's constitution with the consent of the Canadian government. That authority was removed from the UK by the passing of the Canada Act, 1982 on March 29, 1982, by the Parliament of the United Kingdom, as requested by the Parliament of Canada.

Patriation was subsequently confirmed by Canada's Constitution Act, 1982 which was signed by then Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau and by Elizabeth II as Queen of Canada on April 17, 1982 on Parliament Hill in Ottawa. Queen Elizabeth's constitutional powers over Canada were not affected by the Act. She remained monarch and Head of State of Canada, separate from her role as the British monarch or the monarch of any of the other Commonwealth realms. Canada has complete sovereignty as an independent country, however, and the Queen's role as monarch of Canada is separate from her role as the British monarch or the monarch of any of the other Commonwealth realms.

Growing up I never cared about our history really. Now I soak it in. In the spring a few months ago I went to Williamsburg VA US. This fall we are going to Quebec city CA. And learn about the seven year war for one that I will be looking forward to hearing about.

Quebec City is an amazing place to visit for history buffs like us! I'm sure you'll have a great time there! They were built for the War of 1812, not the Seven Years' War, but if you like military history make sure to go inside one of the Martello Towers in The Battlefields Park. Another significant historic landmark: the Cross of Malta carved in a stone inside the Château Frontenac's courtyard.

Wish I went to Williamsburg too. Maybe one day. I also suggest seeing Ottawa in Canada. It's another one of those city with a good historic feel.

... without harming others, either intentionally, out of ignorance or submission to usurped power.

Canada, the UK, New Zealand -- the Commonwealth -- are Property of the Queen

How about a new Birthday -- 1776 style.

Excellent submission! Merci!

Statist Sham! Well said! Canaduh!? has hope but not in the current televised dogma.

Nice post. This obviously applies to many people, regardless of which country they are in, and the piece of land they are standing on.

Good post, for sure. I agree that we are all free people, no matter what piece of land we are standing on, or which Government lays claim to that land, usually acquired through bloodshed. You are only as free as you dare to be. We chain ourselves daily and only ask for a few rights back in return for our servitude. @jbcoin

you got my upvote bud

Great post!! Check my profile post if you wish to learn a little more about Canada ‼️🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦

Awesome post, to many people are stumbling around thinking their free because they are told so, all while their pockets are being picked. Thanks for sharing.

Something I'm well aware of, I'm about 25% myself.
But I look at the world from an individualist standpoint, not by race.

I think the issue is more about sovereignty, not about race either.

A day to praise our farmers/masters how I've perceived it for a long time!

I'm going out later to meet/party with friends that happens to be a Canada day party. My wife asked why am I going since I don't celebrate or even like the Government?

I simply replied to hang and have a good time with friends! In my mind has nothing to do with what they call the day.

Another great post @joshsigurdson and happy to resteemed
