In this episode, I discuss what it was like being diagnosed with colon cancer. Because sometimes, you end up on WebMD and it is in fact cancer.
The K-Bomb Episode 3 - Die Ack Gnosis!
Chris beat cancer and so did I!
My situation is very similar to that of Chris Wark.
- I also had a tumour about the size of a golf ball constricting my colon.
- Just like Chris, I also had to undergo surgery to remove the tumour.
- My oncologist also advised me to get adjuvant care. I was advised to get chemotherapy and radiotherapy. This is because I am still fairly young and I still have plenty of kicks to get in.
My podcast is partially to combat the misinformation and quackery spread by people like Chris
Unlike Chris, I am not peddling supplements and other quackery as cancer treatments. I do suggest that you read the excellent explanation on Science Based Medicine regarding the truth behind Chris's situation. Chris did beat cancer, but it's the surgery that saved him and he got lucky. Unlike Chris, I decided to go for the FOLFOX treatment. And unlike Chris, I am trying to increase the signal to noise ratio.
Laetrile or Vitamin B-17 won't cure your cancer
But amygdalin will solve all your problems.
Seriously, though: don't be daft! Don't do this to yourself. Go to a real doctor.
Is that all the links?
I believe that I have provided all the links I promised to provide in the podcast. I lied a bit - the podcast gets recorded from keynotes first and then I slap a blog post together after the fact. If I've missed something or if you have any queries, feel free to leave a comment.
My minds.com page
I have also created a minds.com page for myself in order to promote this podcast.
