Hello Dear followers of JayJay,
week 10 it is already.. time realy flies. I was hoping to post something in between but simply didnt had the time to do so. But the weekly is here and we did a lot this week.
First things first; todays weight is.... 17.4kg so another 2.3 kg in the past week gained again. The first two week he was maily growing in length but now he became a little higher and the neck and head grew 3cm aswell... so he is now a bit more in proportion (for how long it may be :-)
As you can see his big brother (Binky the Cat) is still very interesting but JayJay doesnt dare to make the contact. The cat allows him to but being a puppy he is a bit to uncontroled and active. But im sure in time they will become good friends. His big brother is used to big dogs and was raised by our first big dog Daisy, a Bordeaux Dog.
Socialising goes well with other dogs and people. He is still a bit distracted in shoppingareas but we managed to get to the park nearby and JayJay found a playmate just 2 weeks older taking his first walk in the park aswell. This 12 weeks old sheppard was a good match in strength and size so he was dead tired that day. also the ride was impressive. We took him in what we call "the caravan" . this is a cart you can put behind your bike.
He was a bit scared but in the end it was well worth it. I've trained with JayJay in the last couple of days just to get used to the cart by placing treats and dogcookies in there and praising him when he got in. Also when he was inside i walked him around in the garden just to get him used to it. It helped but ofcourse this being so new it was realy exciting for him.
But if you dont have a car, this is ideal for you big dog to learn him to travel a bit further. Especialy because big dogs are not allowed to walk to much in one time. Being 10 weeks now, he is allowed to walk for 10 minutes... that doesnt get him very far :-)
Well, i hope it was fun and usefull to read JayJay's blog again... till next time...
Buen ejemplo que ambos animales pueden estar juntos en armonía

Dogs are about as smart as a two- or three-year-old child. This means they can understand about 150-200 words, including signals and hand movements with the same meaning as words.
