DIY Covert Fridge: Update and the beginning of a SCROG!

in cannabis •  8 years ago  (edited)

Hello everyone and welcome to my 'Build your own covert cannabis grow fridge, complete DIY tutorial.' Update.

It's been two weeks and my custom air injection technique has really worked well with this grow. I have experienced explosive growth over the last two weeks that has out performed a friends hydro system hands down!

Updated pics I took this morning: Today the plant is 26 day's old in total from sprout, it's been 16 day's since my last update. I have in total removed 6 large fan leave at this point. What do you think? :-)

The beginning of a SGROG.

SCROG ' Screen of Green" is in my opinion the most efficient way to grow marijuana when it comes to energy VS output.

An abbreviation for a cannabis growing technique known as Screen of Green. when ScroGing a plant is grow up from underneath a sheet of chicken wire (In my case a wire fridge shelf) or something similar and by using LST (low-stress training) your goal is to bend the growths back down under the wire producing an even canopy of buds.

For my SCROG Screen I have simply cut out every second wire from the shelf to open things up a little more.

Now with the SCROG Screen in place

Now after a rather aggressive trim, it's hard to believe this is the same plant and yes, yes I am expecting your reaction.... Why did I trim so much you ask? The proof is in the pudding I will update in about another 2 weeks for flowering and you just wait and see how she bounces back!

Can you guess this strain?

Let's be real it can be almost impossible to just guess so here are a few clues...

Description

A landrace Sativa variety from South Africa, ...... ...... is known for its spicy/sweet anise-like smell and taste and it's clear-headed cerebral effect. Though it's a (normally) pure Sativa, most versions finish fairly quickly and don't stretch like crazy. Many claim the real South African ...... ...... is very racy and finishes as long as 120 days, but that's not always the case for the Lineage

Landrace South African variety, at times can be crossed with Skunk for stability

It's probably worth mentioning I am growing a 100% Landrace strain outdoor, doing very well indoor as you can see. Below are a few picture's of what I can more or less expect when I harvest. :-)

I hope you enjoyed my update. I will update again and show my progress withing the next 2 - 3 weeks. Good luck guessing the strain and thanks for reading.
