Welcome to my Strain Review of Blue Widow

A cross between two well known strains, Blueberry and White Widow, this strain also goes by the name Berry White, White Berry or Blue Venom. Bred by Dinafem Seeds in the early 2000's with the objective of combining two top breeds to create a robust strain with rich and complex characteristics. The result was a balanced 50/50 hybrid that grows exceptionally in the outdoors and can yield up to 1100g/plant.

This Blue Widow was purchased from the Green Rhino in Vancouver, BC. I caught it on sale for $5 per gram.

The THC content of this strain ranges from 12-17% with CBD coming in at 0.1-0.3% range.

Now the appearance is not very appealing, leafy and lots of scraggly stems, typical of bud from lower branches or "popcorn nugs". Likely it was on sale for so cheap because it was the bottom of the bag and or under trimmed.

Just taking a deep inhale of the container I come across a floral tea scent with a bit of spicy herbs in there. While busting the cannabis it gives off a sweet aroma with the floral and spice even more present now, its almost like a clove smell and a small hint of sour in there.

The taste from the vape is a sweet spicy herb. It approaches clove but not as strong with a touch of floral mixed in.

The effects are said to start off with a cerebral stimulus of psychedelic effects which fades over time into the body turning into a relaxing and calming effect. A well balanced delivery of indica to sativa. From my personal experience this was a low potency strain in the THC department and not a heavy hitter, it faded nicely with little to no burn out and was great for a tasty daytime blaze.
