Dark City, Dead Man follows a man searching for a loved one. He searches through a rainy, dark city, and finds the person he was looking for at the end of their street, standing on the other side of a window. It is clear that they no longer recognize him, possibly from a lack of caring, or from his different appearance. That lack of recognition is enough to make him fall into despair. It is revealed that this encounter was a memory that the man was remembering in snapshots. His despair gets deeper and deeper as his memories fall away.
