Working on Greenhouses in Humboldt

in cannabis •  7 years ago  (edited)

Been enjoying my first week in Humboldt. Spring is coming and it’s almost planting time. Working in between snow days to get the greenhouses ready. An exciting time in California with the first year of recreational sales upon us, demand is high.

Internet is slow up here on the mountain so there will be less pictures in my posts but I will share the journey of one Humboldt cannabis farm as it transitions from the old ways,

Looks like ya got some work ahead of ya. I wish they would approve recreational use here in Florida.

It’s coming soon to Florida.

What are the farmers outlook on legalization?

Many of the old timers have just retired and sold to new blood. Some younger but local farmers are going for it with mixed feelings. We don’t like government interference and red tape but are excited for the opportunity to not be considered “criminals” anymore. We are farmers and businesses people just like always. We care more about the environment and water conservation than any government employee. J

One thing I’m not liking is all the greedy ass people that never gave a damn about cannabis are getting their greasy fingers on the movement. I’m so happy that I’m able to grow all my medicine. Haven’t stepped foot in a dispensary since last November. I wish you guys and gals up north all the luck👍

Yes unfortunately big business will soon take over. We are hoping for a couple good years. In Oregon they are killing the market by flooding it. I read in the Eugene Register Guard dispensaries are selling $2 grams to try to get people in the door. Who can produce quality bud for that? I see a lot of rec and medical farmers going bankrupt soon up there, just the way they ( big business) planned it. Legalization was never for the people.

No it wasn’t. Prop 215 and sb420 was perfect the way it was. I hope everyone that’s able to grow starts. If we can get more personal grows like mine it will be a great way to say fuck you to big business.

Or just to the business killing the small farmer. Cause unfortunately i still have to pay my damn electric bill to the biggest business of all. 😉

Grow it! I'd love to help set up a farm! Well again! Yeah it's about that time of year!

It's gonna be a nice hoop house! I'm really glad you're already setting up and putting the shit behind you! So what are you picking to grow this season? Any sun dep?

Beautiful Hoop-House!
