Perpetual Indoor/Outdoor Grow Journal #26: Plants in bloom

in cannabis •  6 years ago

So after a few days mites are gone, and my plants are blooming nicely. There's not much to report at this point... maybe that it's getting really hot, and I finally got a dehumidifier for my tent, which seems to be doing its job ✌

White Querkle has stretched quite a bit. She's not past that phase yet, but soon these buds will really start to fill up. So far I've had to prune her on a regular basis, cause she's very bushy, but that's it really. She was 13 Brix last time when I took a reading.

Sensi Star recuperated a bit from my baking soda treatment and spider mite infestation, and she's on her way to produce some top quality buds! I really hope she's not gonna give me any more problems. After some LST she practically stopped stretching, and she should finish rather quickly.

And Dutch Kush is as slow as she was before! An underwhelming plant, no doubt about it!

13 brix reading?! ive still yet to get on this brixx mission! I just came in from spraying the leaves top and under side with diatermanious earth , a powder of microscope skeletons that mixes with water and the acts as tiny razors to shred any mites.. we had a shit load of rain and the stream turned into a white water flume, I got very wet redirecting the now river away from the cabin lol.. Id rather be ready for mites than be trying to get them to leave :)

I never tried it, but I heard about it. I hope it works. I kinda won with my nuke treatment and I hope I'll never see them again, but it all depends on the severity of your personal situation. I know people, who've been battling mites for months.

Looking very good! So how big is the dehumidifier you got?

The container holds 1500 ml and this thing sucks the humidity nicely and works with my external timer. I still get spikes, but it's way more under control now. It's gonna be hard to go under 55% with it though, which is great for some strains, but now the tent is workable at least.

Somthing is definitely better then nothing. I got a small one and it works best when it’s 80 degrees. It drops the percentage about 5-10 points.
