Grandma Says Cannabis Is The Secret To Her Health

in cannabis •  7 years ago

Carol Francey is 70 years old and she says that cannabis is what's responsible for her living a long and healthy life.

She says that she has been a consumer of cannabis for at least 5 decades and she feels healthier than ever. After starting to consume cannabis it didn't take long for Francey to turn her back on all of her other medication, she threw away all of her other prescriptions.

The only thing left for her now she says is the green plant.

She's joined a group, Grannies for Green, that is helping to push for cannabis legalization in Canada. Whether it's cannabis cookies, a little tincture-infused coffee, or some other variety, Francey says that she isn't like your ordinary grandmother. And she consumes cannabis in a variety of ways.

Francey says that her previous prescriptions were causing her to have slurred speech and they negatively impacted her balance.

Now, since she's only on cannabis, she says that she doesn't have to worry about that anymore. And she isn't the only grandma that says cannabis has been able to help her, there are users both young and old.

A great deal of seniors have credited cannabis with helping to boost their quality of living and many people have been able to get rid of their big pharma medications and opt for something more natural, finding more remedy from this plant than any other thing that they've tried.

Thankfully there are many people like Francey out there who can help to educate others on the possible benefits of cannabis, hemp, and the like. She, along with many other cannabis advocates, are doing what they can to help erode the negative stigma that's been associated with cannabis for decades.

Behind great men are great mothers and grandmothers. Some of the best chicken soup for souls come from grandparents as well.

Lol!

Look up dabbing grandma if you want to have a laugh...

hopefully cannabis will be legal here in our country.

I hope so, too.

Another great writeup @doitvoluntarily. I have great respect for Carol Francey, not only in her personal choices but in her willingness to be public about it.

What a beautiful and simplistic world we'd live in if we all could ditch the pharmaceuticals that are imposing horrors in terms of side effects (the slurring and balance issues you mentioned are good examples.

How fascinating and thank you again for the post.

Agreed that a lot of medicine is counterproductive. Natural foods are better.

Better, cheaper, more natual. Wins hands down!

I think it’s funny to see how a useful plant like cannabis that helps millions of people around the world is denigrated by large pharmaceutical companies and of course still illegal in major countries.

Like cryptocurrencies, governments try to stop what is better.

I am a beer drinker. I can say at age 60 if you compare the drinkers to the pot heads....the pot heads win. They are healthier, more vigorous and in many cases...still alive. Dump the aluminum cans and start lighting up!

My beer drinking 67 year old dad seems to be declining. My dad is a landscaper and is built like an ox, a gorilla, and is stronger still than a lot of people, but may be getting older, mentally, and physically as well it seems. Weed/pot seems to help people and that is better than a lot of bad fake medicine and stuff because weed is a plant which makes it wholesome, complete, and better by design.

Good for her. She looks great and if she feels good then life is great. Go Granny go! 🐓🐓

That's wonderful! I would love to get off all my meds and just need the plant , I need to look into this thanks so much for the information😊😊

Speaking from experience i know its hard, but if you really dive into cannabis and all of its wonderful by products you can live a nice life without hardcore prescriptions with multiple side effects.

Cool

I need to hook my grandma up for grandmas for green, I think she’d ditch her down-in-the-dumps friends in a minute!

Wow, that's an awesome grandma! We need more like her! I'm a former paramedic turned cannabis advocate, and patient myself. I want to have one medication for my insomnia, anxiety/PTSD, and it's the only thing that truly works for me. Keep up the good work!

Great news when someone gets off the poisonous prescriptions and onto natural healing!

Wowwww!!
Unfortunatel in my country cannabis still orbidden to use for any purpose. Whereas in other side my country the is high land which the canabis can growh easily. Hope one day goverment cn open their mind to make cannabis research for medication purpose.

I wonder if maybe it’s quitting all the meds that made her better more so than the cannabis?

I'm a firm believer in this @doitvoluntarily . While I don't smoke, I love CBD. For those that don't know CBD is what I call below the head. There is no psycho active effect. It is a massive anti-imflammatory and a great cure for all types of disease. I take drops internally and use roll ons to apply to the skin. I figure it cannot hurt but only help.

I think the topic of cannabis is cultural, I have heard many times of the healing power, here in my country, Argentina there are many farmers who are pushing bills for the planting of this product for medicinal purposes.
Thank you very much dear friend @doitvoluntarily, for sharing this information
I wish you a great day

Some herbs can be good and government shouldn't take away our choices, our freedom to choose what may or may not work best for our bodies. And we all have different kinds of bodies. Prohibition does not work. Natural things are healthier than fake things.

legalization fi d ganja herb..herb is the healing of the nation

Definitely the healthier alternative to alot of pharmaceuticals. If only more country's would adopt the same approach.

It's great that cannabis remedies everything that her meds were prescribed for, if I understand that correctly. Cannabis is a natural resource among others that responsible adults should have access to. It is unique with varied applications but it's not going to be ideal for everyone, every condition at all times but that should be a given.

Who knows, but many people swear by it lol

So nice to see this changing the world. It’s great to see the older folks taking to it as well, as some haves stigma against it.

The more people from every walk of life begin to open up about the benefits of cannabis and psychedelics, the more accepting society will be. I love seeing the wisdom of our seniors, standing up, speaking out about alternatives.

That is a lit ass grandma

Hell yeah grandma, now that's what I like to see! Finally someone with some sense of the benefits of marijuana.... I'm showing this to my mom, so she doesn't yell at me for smoking some good ole ganja greens lol

What a wonderful post. I totally agree with Carol, cannabis needs to be put out there for it's medical benefits.

The quicker they try this out on people who need it the quicker people may heal and stop suffering.

There is only one reason cannabis is illegal: it is a danger to big pharma! It's legalization in Canada is just a way to give the government control over what right now is pretty much a free market.

Fascinating... these little tales need to be spread more so we can cast off the stigma against recreational drugs. Resteemed!
