Morocco Moving Toward Legal Medicinal Cannabis

in cannabis •  4 years ago

Morocco now has plans to legalize cannabis, after centuries of cannabis having been cultivated in the region. They want to set up new regulations around this plant that would govern farming, import, export permit applications etc.

But there are farmers in the region who aren't too optimistic about the changes that might come from this change.

Some of the criticisms they already have is that the bill doesn't go far enough. They want to see recreational cannabis and freedom to process cannabis into other products that are more lucrative. Farmers are tired of the fear they face by cultivating this plant and don't think the changes to medicinal cannabis are going to do anything about their outstanding warrants or drastically make a difference in their incomes.

And they might be right. When cannabis has been legalized in different places there have been limited permits that are given out for doing business in this industry. Not everyone is going to get the chance, despite having worked in this market for decades or more. And that might make them more susceptible to violence from the state then, with these new cannabis legalization changes.

There are also some who might only want the rights to produce or farm certain products to remain in their region alone, rather than everyone having a fair opportunity to get into the market if they wish. Even if the current bill does get implemented and they do see a medicinal market that still doesn't mean people will have recreational cannabis freedom. As well, there will still be a variety of unnecessary restrictions that infringe on cannabis growing and use for individuals too.

Its my Personal Opinion.

I think cannabis legalize Plan is very very bad decision for thair country young generation.

are You agree with me ?

Personally, I believe that as long as it is controlled, it should not be an issue. The same as with alcohol.

Why do you think that exactly?

Hurray for Morocco!
