CANNABIS CHRONICLE #1 : Five Reasons why I love my Job as a Dispensary Budtender

I finally had the stable office job with decent hours, benefits, and regular hours. It was I thought would finally cure my financial (as well as emotional) hardship that I have always endured. Needing a change of scenery, I decided to join my family on Vancouver Island where I ended up returning to the cannabis industry to acquire some steady hours as I plannned my next steps as a small business consultant. Although I had worked at a dispensary before, I had forgotten how enjoyable it could be. Here are my top 5 reasons why...

  1. It feels good help customers find natural cannabis remedies for physical, emotional, and harm reduction purposes. I have personally seen people get off most pharmaceuticals, quit alcohol and street drugs, and even beat cancer

  2. I am at the epicenter of a rapidly growing industry that formed into a well-structured dispensary model that hopefully will provide used as an example as Canada legalizes next year.

  3. I learn about a wide range of peoples life experiences; the clientele is a sample of the local population and many tourists come to visit. Much like a pub, it is a social gathering place, without the bar fights and misogyny.

  4. Finding a remedy that works for each person is a challenging yet rewarding process. By knowing the subtleties of the products and the customer I work with, I can help them find something that fits their lifestyle.

  5. Handling product (weighing, rolling, etc) puts me in a peaceful, meditative, state. Paying attention to the intricacies of each strain and batch I get to pass on my good vibes to whomever ends up with it.

great post, I know a guy who also deals with all natural and legal ways to get his cabbage to the people. he helps people with severe pain, things like blood transfusions, arthritis, cancer and so on.
its so amazing that people are starting to finally see the benefits of this amazing plant. hell the only side effects that i get are that i get hungry .... dont think thats a bad thing in my eyes

I have been working on a much more extensive piece that goes into the demonization of cannabis by the rockefeller led petrochemical/pharmaceutical industry. The rockefeller foundation nearly eradicated natural medicine in the early 1900's because they offered millions in funding to the most prestigious ivy league health faculties, but only under the condition that they completely remove all books and courseware teaching natural medicine. That was also when it started being called "marijuana" instead of cannabis so that it seemed more foreign. Plenty of the founding fathers were huge fans of cannabis and often grew their own. Make sure you follow so you can check that article and many more informative ones in the future

wow really? thats really interesting but at the same time it doesnt surprise me honestly, seems like they would do something that evil just for profits and there own personal gains. its a shame people are so greedy for money, fame power and whatever else

yeah well being able to grow your own medicine in your backyard would have led to a very different outcome this century, and the pharmaceutical lobby managed to pull it off. Not this century. It's our time.
