What's up growers and cannabis lovers! If there is any plant on the face of the Earth that deserves a day of honor it's definitely Cannabis! The debate is over, the results are in. If you are one of those people who thinks there is anything sinister or destructive about Cannabis, you're just plain ignorant. If you're in a position of governmental authority and are opposed to legalization you should be held in abuse of office and thrown in prison. I wonder how many deaths government is responsible for by denying Cannabis from patients? If you choose not to use this plant, that is your freedom but put the stigma away folks. It's not 1940 anymore.

I would now like to thank all of the hardworking, honest, courageous Cannabis Growers out there for keeping this plant alive in the face of adversity and at the risk of their own personal safety and freedom. This is an industry developed through love and commitment on the backs of hardworking people. Shout out to Cannabis Growers of Canada who have built a community network to oppose the government/corporate takeover of the Cannabis market in Canada. Let's keep our community alive. Don't get sucked in by fancy packaging and store bought convenience.

And Cannabis herself. There really is no use of Cannabis that is not medicinal. This plant is totally amazing in every way. From the nutritional benefits of the seeds and leaves, to the industrial uses of hemp, to the medicinal qualities of cannabinoids, there's nothing not to love!

Thank you Cannabis, for all the healing, love, joy and expanded creativity you've contributed to the beings on Planet Earth!

So today, in honor of Cannabis, and for your reading pleasure, I'll be posting a review of my favorite new strain I've tried growing this year - Pineapple Express!

Pineapple Express

Round 1

I was actually gifted a feminized Pineapple Express seed from G13 Labs from a friend of mine. It came in a single seed pack with a $25.00 (CAD) price tag... definitely looking for a 100% germination ratio! Needless to say, she popped and produced an amazing mother plant for me. I gave 8 cuttings to my friend in appreciation of his generosity, took about 5 more for myself, then flowered the mother. After 2 rounds of cuttings she was a big sphere (about 3.5') with tons of bud sites. Rocked her in a 5 gallon cloth pot. The yield from the mother plant alone was 220 g, almost a 1/2 pound! Super chunky rock hard buds on the top 2/3 of the plant, decent nugs on the bottom, although not as dense. All buds were super frosty. I did not clean anything off her as I wanted to see what the genetics were like before playing around too much. Great smoke with a very citrusy smell and flavor. Strong effects that I found great for daytime use. Definitely keeper genetics.

Round 2

I'll have to give you a little more background first. I am currently in the process of converting my indoor garden to living, no till organic soil. I'm talking earth worms, nematodes and beneficial mites and fungus. It's amazing but still in the development process. I planted 3 of my small cuttings into 3 of my living pots with amazing results! Check these photos out and pay attention to the ratio of bud size to plant size. These plants are maybe, at best, 1.5' tall and they are pushing 3"-6" buds that are ROCK HARD! They smell so much of limonene my friend described the buds as smelling "like pure lemon juice."

Final Review

8/10

  • Only germinated 1 seed, but successful germination
  • Plants are easy to grow, not finicky
  • Great plant structure, lots of sites that produce really dense buds
  • Amazing taste and smell
  • High THC content and great effects
  • Short flower time (55 days)

I highly recommend growing this strain especially for new growers. I've had a great experience so far and will be growing this in the future. In fact, round 3 is bigger and on the way already!
