Cannabis decriminalization vs legalization ....one is a tool of so called “white” supremacy the other is global economic empowerment. One means an end to plastic pollution, deforestation, and has a positive global impact such as soil remediation and decontamination, the other is a system designed to create criminals, enrich Multi-national corporations and continue to exacerbate the petroleum, pesticide, and plastic pollution problem.

I will say, Canada legalized weed and the plastic pollution on marijuana products is mind boggling. It's horrible. You have 1/8th of an oz inside a Tylenol sized plastic container which they hand to you in a plastic bag. Even ordering online, the super thick scent resistant bag is equivalent plastic to 10 baggies from your old dealer. And those bags then come inside a cardboard box that is vacuum sealed in another thick plastic bag, which then gets put into a thick plastic bubble wrap mail bag that is also scent proof.
Legalization has made a ton of plastic waste up here. And I would say a good 99% of it has no way of being reduced, reused or recycled. Mostly because very little of the plastic comes stamped with a recycling mark, and the containers themselves are either one time use or impractical for anything but storage of marijuana from point a to point b.
The best way to reduce marijuana related plastic waste is to grow your own. If you can grow your own, you're saving yourself money and the environment. If you're new, you're learning a new hobby that I can guarantee, you will take pride in once you reap the benefits of your patience. If you're Canadian and reading this, I'm not saying stop buying from the store. Just think about the plastic waste and ways we can reduce it.

Well I would suggest is mandating that all cannabis products be packaged in plastics that are 100% from cannabis plants, the purpose would be to create a market for organically grown hemp plastics as well as a strategic move for industrial hemp, which is a win-win of sorts simultaneously lowering greenhouse emissions.

That's a great suggestion. A lot of people confuse cellophane with plastic. You see a lost of posts on Reddit of eco friendly bamboo toothbrushes wrapped in what they believe to be petroleum plastic, but it's actually plant based cellophane.
