Color Challenge Thursday/Green Recreational Cannabis Update

Today's color challenge is an update on my lovely ladies...

We've had an incredible couple of warmer summer days since Fall equinox and have moved the tents off the girls once again. I've been keeping up on the big leafing and such, since the first sign of powdery mildew two weeks ago. Today is suppose to hit 89 degrees!

Since the half/half spray treatment I did for the powdery mildew two weeks ago, there are no new signs of p.m. I cleaned the lower third of the three plants taking off all the littles that won't develop by harvest, as to give the top kola's some more energy. The Green Crack, has had no signs of p.m and that plant, I've left mostly alone and allowing big leaves to fall on their own.
In the next days I will prune and clear more on the Green Crack.

In other climates such as desert and such I would let the big leaves fall on their own, however, here in the Willamette Valley it is a tricky biz with the moisture and early morning fog, this time of year. We are fortunate that the rains have not completely kicked in, however, the land and Earth need it desperately. Today, smoke is back in the air from the Cougar fire, that is still 20% not contained.

The Afgoo, is getting so big and heavy. Today I will spend some time adding some string/trellis on the fencing we put in the ground. In the veg stage I had the plastic grid walls on top and once they were established and sprawled out I took off. Now, I need to either put it back on the top or create some support on sides. Last year, I harvested bamboo at a friends and used that, however, problems are created with bamboo, mites and mold can grow and live on the bamboo, so, I'm back to trellising.
