Here's a taste of what else I dabble in. @drutter and I started Power to the Patients in the summer of 2015 when we started getting heavy into local activism and dispensary lifestyle in Vancouver. We started it on youtube, then moved it to facebook, and now here on Steemit under my account.
Click the image above to wach the video :)
Power to the Patients aims to empower medical cannabis users by educating the public, and to advance liberty by ending the war on drugs. Stuff tagged #PowertothePatients will consist mostly of medical knowledge, news, research studies, etc. as it is related to cannabis. The series takes off at episode 3 which compares cannabis edibles to caffeinated chocolate bars. Stay lifted and stay tuned for more select episodes from the series.

There are still people out there that think that you can die of a marijuana overdose. It's crazy.
I only have one complaint about the video and that's that you used MOTA as an example of an edible. They are notorious for underdosing/inconsistent dosing of their edibles. I tried a few of them and they tasted great. I had no issues with the product that way. The issue I had is where you take the equivalent of 500 mg of THC and aren't sure if you feel it or not. I had no idea at first because I was new to edibles and didn't know what to expect. I tried the equivalent amount of THC distillate and realized that MOTA hugely overstates dosages on their products.
I don't have a brand to suggest. I kind of got away from edibles. If I use cannabis products orally it's usually either THC distillate or if I want to get some of the terpene profile with it I'll buy shatter and decarb it in the oven myself. The dosing is more accurate and it's way cheaper. I guess it's not as tasty and may not be for everyone but it's what I did.

Thanks for your comment and your feedback on Mota. @MediKatie and I make our own edibles. This video was recorded a few years ago for our YouTube channel. We got the chocolate bar from our only source at the time, and it's all they had. I blame prohibition for that. In a free market, there would be more choices, better quality, and lower prices. We should have mentioned that we don't necessarily recommend either Mota or Awake products, and they're just used as examples for the video. : )

Absolutely. I like the videos and articles that you and @MediKatie have been putting out. I wasn't accusing you of promoting a bad product. Our choices are limited like you said. Prohibition is stupid.
I just wanted to warn people about MOTA. They are a well established brand. It fooled me into thinking that their product would be of a decent quality. Their products and packaging would fit right in on the shelf at 7-11. I didn't think they would make it to that level of professionalism with an inferior product.
They must have got in early and established their brand with little to no competition. I've seen posts on blogs where people confronted MOTA reps at cannabis conventions and they just didn't seem to be concerned or care that people were unhappy with the dosing on their edibles.
The gummy candy or chocolate bar or whatever the case may be isn't $15.00 because of what a great candy it is and how professional it looks. We're paying for the THC or CBD content and if that's not there we might as well go buy our candy at the grocery store.
MOTA could make a quality product with the proper dosing and still make a pile of money. They don't because they have and will continue to get away with it. People that never try another edible will never know the difference. I wonder how many of their customers fit that description. I was one. Now that I know I'll never go back.
Keep up the good work @MediKatie and @drutter. I'll be watching for the next video.

Exactly, great comment! It's important in a free market for people to be able to leave their honest feedback and for others to be able to find it. I think Steemit (and the blockchain in general) is a great place for that!
