I just finished work, a loooong day standing and a siesta in between that didn't work due to too much coffee. I swear we are the only species on the planet that slowly kills ourselves over time with addictions and bad eating habits??

Just went to take some snaps of the box.. This morning I watered them well, although tomorrow I will water them again as the bottom of the "pots" are still dry. And I want them wet because they wont be watered for another few weeks at a guess! To the Left, is my hand made watering can, with holes made from a heated nail on the gas oven. You just have to be quick in filling it up! The stream is drying up, last year there was water until July but now as there's been no rain it's drying. I still need to get a water container to collect rain water (Before it rains!) And I bet you 10 Steem that if I went and got one tomorrow morning, which I might do, then it will rain within a couple of hours after. Its just waiting for me to be ready, a stoner causing a month drought 😆 And 10 Steem that if I don't go and buy it in the morning, it will anyway rain! Dam.
And here it is, a pathetic trickle (Right). We can get "summer water" from somewhere but that involves asking a "collective" or something for the water, and then you even pay for it. Anyhow I like to keep quiet here, no point in trying to get water and end up getting evicted because something or other. The water is at 7.5ph+ and so I must use PH down or things wont go so great later on.

I love nature, but you can't trust it. Always check the PH of water that hasn't fallen from the sky, even with a cheap testing kit like the one I have here Below and correct the water to between 5.8 and 6.6. I just have colour's to go by but that's enough. Ph always rises and so it can be a little more acidic than rain water is.

Here's a shot of each shopping basket - so two plants in each picture, and going clockwise around from the first picture up top of the post.

They look really good. They have the shine and the right hue of green. BTW I never check PH of water. It's definitely useful in hydro, but not so much in soil IMO.

Thanks man, I just added the second row of the net to the right side and gave them a good soak as the water is taking 25mins to fill up a 10l bucket lol, they wont get any water until a loooong time now lol.

Ive never really wrapped my head around the ph properly but I see there was a post on it in the science post thing :)
hahaha all I know is that they get a nute lock out and don't do anything if they don't have the right ph.. and in the past I thought and still think up until you saying this that it was due to that.. lol.. Is it now continual heat where you are now also?!

Not a real heatwave yet, but it's getting hot. It stays around 28°C during the day.

Thats nice enough! I die in the heat :(

LOOKING GOOD!!!

Thanks you! And where are you in this world?

My 90 days in EU are up, so I'm now in South East Asia cause it's cheap. Thinking if I should return to NZ or hang around for 90 days and go back to Europe in September.... =( =( =(

☺ Go with the wind!

Thats a beautiful GREEN !! even with that heat you had going on there...
we were close to the 42's out here..

Hi again! Thanks :) It's a good soil mix for sure, and im happy with it.

Luckily I prepared the box with 10cm insulated floor and you can see most of the walls also, that keeps out the heat a lot, even though it was there incase it was cold like last year! today feels cooler which is nice

10cm is quite good... will keep that in mind for my first grow. If i may add, those are some neatly placed pebbles, i feel those little guys too lead to a healthy soil..

Yeh they are clay balls, its the first time I have used them on the top and bottom, but its well worth doing that and they are very cheap and re-usable more importantly

I think m gonna try looking for something like that here.. they look really neat...
