A Cannabis Grow Journal: 002

A loosely guided documentation of growing cannabis at home by a first-time grower, avid smoker.

CBD is Woke

An update from yesterday's post: I woke up to a freshly sprouted CBD plant that I potted two days ago from a germinated seed.

(see my first post on germinating cannabis seeds: https://steemit.com/cannabis/@nikkibrand/a-cannabis-grow-journal-001)

At the same time yesterday, the CBD sprout hadn't even breached the surface of the soil. Now it's growing... like a weed.

Since it's sprouted, the plant needs at least 12 hours of sunlight a day and enough water to keep the soil moist. Through trial and error I'll determine whether the daylight hours are long enough at this time of year in California, otherwise I'll explore indoor lighting options.

Now it's just the wait for the Blue Dream, Cherry Pie, and Banana Strawberry (planted today) to sprout.

Awesome post! I invite you to visit our blog and enjoy our content :)

Thank you @nitonews1!

Sweet that you are starting straight from seed. Usually stronger plants come that way. These guys while in Veg state need like 18 hours Light on and 6 hours of darkness. they can also be vegged with 24 hour light depends on your setup. Happy grow and hope things come out Dope

I feel like my first shot had to start from the seed.. from the bottom up! Thanks for the advice @nutinbutdatruth - super helpful to get tips on the light. Updates coming soon!!

It’s awesome to grow from seed , plants grow bigger and stronger, it is best to have at least 18 hours of light on them , if the weather doesn’t get too cool I would put them out during day light and put them under a vegg light at night , excited to see them grow 🔥

Loving the process, watching the seeds shoot out roots and sprout. Trying to get them as much direct sunlight as possible and then switching over to the night lights! Keep posted for the progress @bigtfoor
