On the co-occurring ancillary side effects of cannabis consumption

in cannabis •  7 years ago

While some are quick to vilify some of the so called side effects of cannabis consumption, such as dry mouth, we should take a minute to examine the co-occurring ancillary and highly beneficial side effect generated by the cannabis (likely THC)-induced thirst.

Indeed, in order to achieve optimal hydration, an adult should drink around 3-4 litres (12-16 cups) of water per day, a task that most do not fulfill on a daily basis. As such, the cryptic and perhaps subtle side effect metionned above may contribute to optimal hydration at the cellular level, which is a necessary prerequisite to health.

Excellent post! I couldn't agree more @phenry. The plant medicine works to restore optimal balance in the body and so many of us fight daily dehydration. If we feel thirsty and want to drink more water as a result, that's a very beneficial side-effect. Plus, it's a good indicator that the medicine is actually working. :)
