Grow Journal Weeks 6-7steemCreated with Sketch.

I realized it has been many, many months since I updated the grow journal with some pics. I left off last time at week 5 and was just getting ready to transplant them.

Soon after they were all in their new home. It had been a rough spring bringing these ladies along from such little clones to the point of final transplant. We had a very cold and wet winter which made it difficult to regulate the temperatures in my little greenhouse I was taking care of them at. I don't know if it's a "climate change" thing or not, but around here I don't even worry about final transplanting until after June 1. I know a few growers who don't even bother until July 1. Here is what they looked like after transplanting:

Obviously they did NOT like the transplant, went into immediate shock and gave me a pretty droopy presentation for a couple of days before they bounced back a bit.

And then that was that and I was OFF! I jumped on a plane and ended up here:

Thankfully I grow with a collective of folks who have my back, and was able to take a little time away from the plants after spending two months straight babying them. Seven days a week, always making sure their lighting and temperature are good to go.

I made a decision last year to plan a nice trip this time of the season collect myself, take a deep breath and rest up because I knew the next few months would be nothing but 10-12 hours days, 7 days a week. Went to Maui with my boo. If anything folks, remember to take care of yourself. Growing ganja isn't as easy as folks think, although it does lend itself to a lifestyle I am learning to embrace.

My boo swimmin' with the turtles:

I trust my cannabis plants will be taken care of. But in this moment, it was nothing but Aloha:

So interesting! I'd love to grow someday, I'm fascinated by the process and your plants look lovely. Following along!

Thanks so much. Of course the outdoor season is now over and I can start posting more pictures and updates on how things developed. I was a little disappointed with the end result and have been a little embarrassed to share but decided it's the best way for me to learn. I'm hoping to post some new pics and updates this weekend so stay tuned and big thanks for the kind words. Aloha

happy to see a new post from you. You have so much experience, in many fields haha. I am wondering what your guidance would be for creating a soil/fertilizer adding in rabbit droppings, coffee grounds, egg shells and so forth. It would be for farming/gardening/homesteading. I would LOVE to read your thoughts as I am sure others would as well. And if you DO write one will you also tag it under homesteading and gardening and maybe self-sufficiency? thanks and lots of love to the ohana.

haha thanks so much. The droppings and grounds and egg shell are a good mix for composting and need some time to break down. The coffee adds nitrogen to a compost, egg shells calcium and other goodies with the rabbit poo. I am not super qualified or an expert by any means but I certainly have tried some things on my own and will try to put something up in the next week or so. Super duper cool and thanks for keeping up with me over here!
