POT IS ILLEGAL BECAUSE BILLIONAIRES WANT IT THAT WAY!!!

Marijuana is very much a danger to the oil companies, alcohol, tobacco industries and a large number of chemical corporations. Various big businesses, with plenty of dollars and influence, have suppressed the truth from the people.

  • In an era gone by, refusing to grow HEMP in the US was against the law.

  • People could pay their taxes in HEMP until the early 1800s.

  • We all know the founding fathers grew it!

  • In fine American fashion, Jefferson smuggled hemp seeds from China to France then to America.

  • Ben Franklin had a HEMP paper mill.

  • Only in the 1820’s did cotton begin to replace hemp textiles, 80% of which were HEMP based before that time.

  • The first Bibles, Charts and Maps were on HEMP paper, and the oldest known records of farming HEMP go back 5000 years to ancient China, but probably was a huge industry in Egypt thousands of years before that.

  • In 1916 the US government planned to stop cutting trees and plant HEMP, but soon after, HEMP was made illegal to grow…

  • In the 1930s, innovations in farm machinery would have caused an industrial revolution when applied to hemp. This single resource could have created millions of new jobs generating thousands of quality products. Hemp, if not made illegal, would have brought America out of the Great Depression.

THE CONSPIRACY

William Randolph Hearst (Citizen Kane) and the Hearst Paper Manufacturing Division of Kimberly Clark owned vast acreage of timberlands. The Hearst Company supplied most paper products. Patty Hearst’s grandfather, a destroyer of nature for his own personal profit, stood to lose billions because of hemp.

In 1937, Dupont patented the processes to make plastics from oil and coal. Dupont’s Annual Report urged stockholders to invest in its new petrochemical division. Synthetics such as plastics, cellophane, celluloid, methanol, nylon, rayon, Dacron, etc., could now be made from oil. Natural hemp industrialization would have ruined over 80f Dupont’s business.

Andrew Mellon became Hoover’s Secretary of the Treasury and Dupont’s primary investor. He appointed his future nephew-in-law, Harry J. Anslinger, to head the Federal Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs. Secret meetings were held by these financial tycoons. Hemp was declared dangerous and a threat to their billion dollar enterprises. For their dynasties to remain intact, hemp had to go. These men took an obscure Mexican slang word: ‘marihuana’ and pushed it into the consciousness of America.

Sort Order:

the big land owners want trees to be used to make paper , the pharmaceutical industry , a branch of the oil industry want synthetic drugs that manage not cure , i even remember seeing a film with henry ford hitting a car with a body made from hemp , with a sledge hammer to no effect

Better than plastics!

allot better , the first wrangler jeans were made from hemp and lasted ages , much more hard wearing , the oil from hemp seeds is the perfect balance of omega 3,6 and 9 and also an anti inflammatory , brilliant for joint problems

Better than metal. Twice as strong and half the weight.

Marijuana and hemp have more benefits that I could list but the Government's negative rhetoric and criminalization have left many people ignorant to their many merits.

They should make alcohol illegal then too, marijuana seems to be the safest drug our there , keep are calm on it as well . People who do not profit from it , they want it to be illegal

Because it's fun!

I don't understand why GMO Hemp is not topic at all. We all know it is on market long time ago, but no one is talking about it. My opinion it is huge danger and shoud be talk about a lot more!

Nice writing about HEMP..... Thank you @surfyogi

Sadly this not just limited to HEMP, but all kinds of technology, and inventions have been suppressed so the powers that be can remain in power. Capitalism is not the friend of innovation in many cases.

It is a bizarre fact that till 1800s people could pay their taxes in Hemp. It must have been more precious than gold at that time. But the one thing is obvious that government can kill any good business at any time.

They've known about it's healing power against cancer for decades and not only hid it from the public, but also did all they could to silence those who had discovered the truth and went public. Check out my film "Healing Cancer with Cannabis" to hear the first hand story of Rick Simpson and the Phoenix tears group that formed around his discovery. It's available on YouTube and Dtube for free and for all to see.
