The depth of healing in these roots is amazing!

Cannabis Roots.
Quite possibly the most underutilized portion of the plant! we found out about this amazing medicine in a strange way. Costa Rica is listed by National Geographic as one of the areas on the planet where more often than not, people would live to be over 100. My gardeners grandma happens to be one of those people. She is somewhere over the age of 100! Astonishing, she shared with us the original medicinal attribute of this plant with us in Spanish. She drinks it everyday in a tea in very small amounts. She will boil the cut up root at simmer. Than store it in a container in a cool environment and would drink around 20ml a day.

This is a very powerful medicine, large doses can cause liver failure.

The Medical Talk

Friedelin is thought to have hepatoprotective (liver-protecting) and antioxidant effects, epifriedelanol has been demonstrated to have anti-tumour effects, and several pentacyclic triterpene ketones are thought to cause apoptosis in cancer cells, as well as reducing inflammation, pain and bacterial infection and possessing diuretic and immunomodulatory properties. The alkaloids piperidine and pyrrolidine have both been found in the roots, as well as in the stems, seeds, pollen and leaves; these alkaloids can be highly toxic in high doses, but in smaller doses have been found to have various medical benefits. Piperidine is used as a chemical ‘building block’ for various pharmaceuticals, particularly those involved in psychiatric medicine such as paroxetine and haloperidol; pyrrolidine is also used as a building block for a class of stimulant drugs known as racetams. And many other amazing health benefits!!

Be careful not to ingest lots. It can be toxic. Be sure to consult your doctor or talk with the plants and ask them!!

Thanks cheetah, there was actually some good relevant info there (and the post wasn't plagiarised)

Great post @thearcanebear , I'd never seen anything about the root specifically. TIL

@ausbitbank Thank you brother! WE found out from an old grandma in costa rica. What a treat of a way, the rest of the research is from the interwebs and what googs had to say through my voice. Thank you for the support. We really appreicate it

Certainly has a great impact on health if used in the correct amounts. Alot of plants are like that. I know of many that can kill you easily, but are used as medicines in very small dosages.

Water, if you drink to much, it will kill you, lack of sodium is really what does it. But to much of anything is almost always bad news.

Were there's roots there's plants, would love to see the plants!!

This is a new one for me, good to learn something new about the most important plant on earth.
Keep up the good work!

Thank you for your continual support!

You are most welcome my friend.
I'm looking forward to your next adventure,
Just watch out for stingrays!!

Who would have thought the roots would be beneficial! More knowledge added to my brain.

Thats what we like to do, create informative content. We try our best but the last month has been difficult for us. Wishing we could be more up to date with everyone, WE will try harder for you. Thanks for the support.

Roots, Rock, Reggae...

That's pretty cool. I've never heard of anyone utilizing the roots before.

Thank you, gotta love the grandma recipes, passed down for quite some timess

There is always something to ancestor knowledge! A long process of trial and error.

Think we might come to Costa Rica after our SE-Asia adventure in a few years! Always loved that place. Jungles hold so many interesting treasures! Didn't know about the cannabis roots being so potent! Learned something new today! Thanks for sharing!

Our pleasure, We love our little bear cave here. We planted so many medicinal plants and fruit trees. Its delicious. Thank you for your kins comments!
Following you now!

My pleasure! Can't wait to read more! It sure is a blessing to live in the tropics! Though I'm still figuring out how to grow most things, since it is so different from growing in European climate, but it is so much fun! Steem on!

Yea luckily growing here is easy, throw some fruit into the jungle and a few years later you usually have a tree! Its pretty amazing

True that. Just happened to me with papaya seeds (although that didn't take years, just a few weeks). They are growing fast! Papayas coming soon I hope.

Yeah, the paypaya grow much faster, you can see from seed to mid sized tree in a year~ With the right amount of rain water and sun

Very cool, cannabis won't be legal for me for a while :( Are there any other plant that carry these benefits in themselves/ their roots?

Oh, I am not sure, you could look up the specific compounds and see what other plants might have smiliar structures!

damn, never heard of this before!

Gotta love tha Canabis plants!

Nice! I work in the Cannabis industry here in Sacramento, and we just started using the root balls for extractions, hopefully to make Rick Simpson Oil here pretty soon. Spread the Truth! Cheers!
