Or Rather, Aphids and pH and Bad Nutes Oh My!!
Those of you who've watched the progress of these poor plants have witnessed them go through quite a bit of stress. Poor soil choice, super high pH tap water, root aphids and then I find out my nutrients are damaged.
That's right, I'm happily mixing nutrients and feeding them to the plants. All the while I'm wondering WTH is going on, 'cause they certainly aren't responding properly. lol
Turns out, the GH Flora Micro
I've been using saw temps of 120F+ for at least a week. These babies just kept getting worse and worse. A couple of days ago I was able to go and pick up some fresh Micro. Yaaaay! (Says right on the bottle to store it in a cool place. Argh!) The Flora "Bloom" is perfectly fine, which is very fortunate.
Mixed up a fresh batch of nutes and watered these babies well. Saturated them and let em drain in the tub. The goal was to flush out as much of the wrong mix as possible, while leaving a full nutrient strength at the proper pH. Considering the greening up started the next day, I'd say things will look much better in another week. :D
As You Can See
there's healthy looking green growth on all of them. They're beginning to get happy and you can smell it. :D Ahhhh.... :D Well, the amber color of the wood of the cabinet has definitely changed the tint of the photo. Ouch.
Looks like I'm going to have to step it up and get the plants the flat-white paint job they've been asking for. ;)
SCHEWEEEEW!!!
What a relief. Thought I was going crazy. lol
Go Be Awesome!
Looking good!
