Bitcoin offers the cannabis industry an alternative to banks
The cannabis industry may offer clues to the future of bitcoin.
Although medical use marijuana is now legal in more than half the states and recreational use is in some others, the drug is still illegal on the federal level. As a result, most major banks shun the marijuana business.
The cannabis industry, projected to grow to $50 billion from $6 billion by 2026, has long been in need of a financial solution. Many in the industry are hanging their hopes on cryptocurrencies.

California could become the Cannabis industry's safe haven
Facing a potential cannabis crackdown by federal forces, politicians in one of the nation's most pot-friendly states want to ensure that both industry and residents will have some legal room to breathe.
If passed, California Assembly Bill 1578 would take steps to protect the state's legal cannabis operations from being busted by federal enforcers, a scenario that new U.S. Attorney General Jefferson Sessions hinted could occur down the road.

Canada Could be on the Cusp of a Cannabis Revolution
The world has a pot problem. Quite simply: there isn't enough of it, legal and accessible, to meet the tidal wave of demand that is about to sweep across North America. After the campaign promises of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, the Canadian government is poised to fully legalize and regulate cannabis next year, permitting adult recreational use. California, the largest pot market in the United States, is expected to follow suit.

Canadians consumed up to $6.2-billion worth of cannabis in 2015
Canadians consumed an estimated $5-billion to $6.2-billion worth of cannabis in 2015, a study by Statistics Canada showed on Monday, ahead of the nationwide legalization of recreational use of the drug next year.
Using existing data sources, the study estimated there were 4.9 million medical and recreational users of cannabis aged 15 and older in 2015.
Medical marijuana is already legal in Canada, and the country plans to allow recreational cannabis federally by July 2018, making it the first Group of Seven country to do so.

Top Marijuana stocks to buy in 2018
December 17, 2017, 09:42:00 AM EDT By Keith Speights, Motley Fool
Investing in marijuana stocks seems practically stuffy in comparison with buying bitcoin. But at least with some marijuana stocks, your investment buys part of a business that is growing, both plants and sales, and isn't at serious risk of losing half of its value overnight.
Which marijuana stocks are the best on the market? I'd rule out the tiny penny stocks . And with uncertainty about what might happen with federal enforcement of U.S. marijuana laws, my inclination is to stay clear of stocks focused on the U.S. market for now. Even with these stocks thrown out, several options remain. In my view, Canopy Growth (NASDAQOTH: TWMJF) , MedReleaf (NASDAQOTH: MEDFF) , and Aurora Cannabis (NASDAQOTH: ACBFF) look like the best marijuana stocks to buy in 2018. Here's why these three rank at the top of the list. Click Title To Read Full Article.

Thank you again Vin, keep em coming. Question, the oils pressed out of flower and smoked through a vape pen, any opinions you feel like sharing?

Thanks @dandays. I do like the oils used in Vape pens, the market potential for oils is huge, its the fastest growing segment of the cannabis industry. Vaping, in general, is much healthier than combusting (smoking, pipes and bongs use) and will take a good share of the market. Oils are pricier than dried flower but are convenient, very little to less odor and can be used in public places without detection. We have done a research article on the oils market and will post it on Steemit shortly.
The key to using oils is having a good quality Vape Pen, one with low wattage draw and good air flow.
Here is a product from Vape Dynamics, the Cora works extremely well with the right oils.

Having used the Cora myself, we decided to bring them into Canada and distribute it. Anyone on Steemit who is interested in getting it, we can offer it with a discount (or getting any Vaporizers we offer), if paying with SteemDollars or other cryptos.
Regards

Thanks! No, really. I just recently got ahold of One.. buddy of mine has a store, you know the rest. They’re so convenient, Oder free like you said, simple to carry, all of the above. Something so convenient usually brings along unwanted side effects. Thanks for clearing that up. I like the oils.
