I 100% feel where you're coming from. But also, CBD has led to an increased awareness of the multitude of applications of Cannabis in many states where THC is illegal. I worked at a shop in Louisiana that sold CBD products to everyone from athletes to dying cancer patients, and time and time again I would see their attitude towards Cannabis change over the course of a few weeks, especially after they realized that this medicine was doing things for them that their pharmaceuticals had been doing, but with far fewer side effects. A lot of these folks come to CBD as a last resort when other doctor prescribed solutions have failed, and many have trepidations about using the product because they have been told their whole lives that Cannabis has no legitimate medical use. So once they start seeimg personal results with it, they realize they've been lied to and their mindset towards the Prohibitionist narrative starts to change. Long story short: CBD = "Gateway Drug to a more open mindset and more critical thinking towards government anti-cannabis rhetoric".

I agree I see it more as a double edged sword because of the reasons I covered but it can work in our favor too.
