Bubba Kush is a heavy hitting indica known for its relaxing powers. This sweet and sticky purple flower is also called ‘Bubble Gum Kush’. But most people call it the shorter 'Bubba Kush'. It induces a deep and tranquil feeling with a surprisingly clear head high for an indica. It has a higher THC content then most strains so the effect is strong. Bubba isn't for beginners, but perfect for pros :)

Like Sublime, Bubba Kush came on the scene in California in the mid nineties. It’s origins, like Jon Snow, aren’t 100% clear. What we do know is an OG Kush hybrid pollinated with an ‘unknown indica’ and Bubba Kush was born.

It is a very pretty bud. You can instantly see how it got the the bubble gum name. The beautiful deep purple jostles with the green leaves, interweaving like seekers in a game of quidditch. The shade of purple varies from dark indigo to light violet. The red hairs stick out in patchy amber tufts, like an orangutans hair or a ginger’s nether region.

The nuggets are stocky and thick. A bud that can throw its weight around and would probably play center in a pick up game. Due to all the trichomes aka crystals the bud is very sticky to the touch. The flower is frosted and twinkles in the light. Lil Wayne would say it’s ‘iced out like a polar bear’. The smell is sweet with some earthy undertones. You can probably convince yourself of a bubble gum scent, but I feel honey is a little closer. Either way it’s sweet.

I hit the bubba out of a water pipe. I have a great bubbler which cools down the smoke while still keeping the integrity of the taste. The smoke was very thick, even for a water pipe. I love the taste! A lot richer then I was expecting. Hints of coffee and tobacco accompany the sweet earthy taste.

The high was extremely relaxing and strong. I felt ol’ Bubba right away. Soothing euphoric waves wrapping around my body like a warm duvet cover. My muscles relaxed and my mind was taken to a happy dreamy place. Perfect for the evening or a lazy day. Bubba also leaves you with a clear head, something that most indica’s don’t do. You are relaxed and chilled out, but still able to hold a conversation. Not hazy. One step before a knockout indica, Bubba gives you the melting body feeling with the mind euphoria, but you can still get up and go make yourself a snack.

I give Bubba Kush a 4.8/5.0. I really like this indica and love the flavor. The bud is very pretty with a great smell and feel. The high doesn't disappoint and it’s stronger than your average toke. I love the clear head high it gives you while soothing your body. It’s great for pain, stress, sleeping, appetite, and anxiety. Bubba Kush is pretty high on the food chain of strains. It’s a big player in the weed world and if you have the opportunity you have to try it.
