The media and The Innocence Project are either lying or dumb.
DNA evidence has become a useful tool; but, it wasn't as much of a thing in 1997. People have watched too much CSI, and they seem to think that, if the murderer didn't ejaculate on the knife, that there's no evidence.
Williams was questioned by his girlfriend, the day of the murder, why he was wearing a jacket in the Summer heat. When he took off the jacket, it was seen -- by his girlfriend -- that he was covered in blood. He claimed that he had been in a fight. Still, Williams sold a laptop that was stolen from the house of his victim a couple days later. Again, his girlfriend found his victims purse with her ID in his car.
Other items that be stole from his victim were found in his car a year later, after Williams bragged to other inmates -- while serving time for an unrelated burglary -- that he committed the murder.
I know that you generally can't bring things like this up at trial. We can bring this up now that the bastard is dead. He had fourteen prior criminal convictions -- all for burglaries and assaults and batteries.
I'm still against the death penalty; but, I'm not gonna complain that this monster is dead.
I'm also not going to lie, like The Innocence Project is clearly lying, and claim that there was faulty evidence regarding the trial and conviction.
He committed the brutal murder of a woman in her own home. He stabbed her in the neck and twisted it and bragged about it.
He deserved to die in prison. He died in prison.
Good.
