Preserving sacred political traditions.

The January 6 people aren't crazy because "I can prove them wrong" they're crazy because "they can't prove themselves right."

They're taking action based on hunches and suspicions without any desire or need to provide evidence to support their actions.

I can't easily refute you with evidence you would accept any more than I can with them.

If you stormed Musk's mansion based on a hunch you can't prove or even somewhat validate, you'd be a madman, and I wouldn't need to provide evidence to that end because, again, that burden of proof is not on me and you likely wouldn't find it convincing anyway.

So often, especially on the Left, politicians seem to promote a critical message of America and its legacy and their advocate promotes correcting mistakes rather than preserving greatness.

This hearing (at least its talking points) is definitely channelled with the language of reverence I admire.

And that usually isn't true of the left.

So even if they're masking sinister true intentions behind the language of patriotism, well, for once, I at least appreciate their efforts to put on a desirable mask.

I don't care about Republicans or Democrats. I care about America and genuinely do admire attempts to preserve sacred political traditions.
