I used to own a Lotus Elise (2007). It had the 1.8litre 134bhp engine from a Toyota Corolla, but it weighed about 800kg. This meant that not only was it faster than a Porsche, but it was also totally reliable and servicing was about $200 a year. That being said I had no garage, no driveway, and my car was parked on the streets of Scotland all year. In the winter, due to the 5mm gap between the window and the roof, the inside of the car used to freeze........
