After a series of teaser photos published, Bugatti Divo supercar was officially launched. Bugatti's latest product was produced only 40 but was ordered out.
In its traditional design language, the Divo has a unique, less splendid profile than the Chiron brothers. Many design changes focus on improving aerodynamics. Bugatti said the modifications added 90 kilograms of air pressure to the body.
Attracted from the start, the Bugatti Divo is equipped with a front bumper with a larger intake and a wider windshield. These changes significantly improve air pressure and optimize cooling.
At the same time, the brake system is cooled by four independent air sources on each side of the vehicle: airflow from the high pressure zone above the front bumper, the air inlet on the front bumper, an inlet over the radiator front and front diffuser.
Designers also pay close attention to the hood and turn it into an efficient NACA gas pipeline. The hood incorporates a specially designed cap, ensuring large amounts of air entering the engine compartment to cool the W16 engine with 8.0 liters.
Other important design changes include new headlights and larger diffuser, designed to accommodate four exhaust systems. The designers also set the aerodynamic side, the center wing and the rear wing also function as a pneumatic brake.
These wings are 23% larger than the Chiron. The French supercar said it significantly improved braking performance and downforce.
The heart of the "monster" Bugatti Divo is the familiar 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged eight-liter turbocharged engine, producing 1,479 horsepower. Unlike other brothers, the Bugatti Divo is limited to 380 km / h.
Speeding on this supercar can make many believers feel disappointed, the Bugatti Divo is positioned as a high-performance car, not just a fast-track ride. As Bugatti explains, they want the car to be "sharper, more agile and more flexible."
To achieve this, engineers have increased curvature on the body, making some modifications to the suspension and steering system. The divo is also 35 kg less than the Chiron due to lighter wheels and a new carbon fiber intercooler (intake system).
There are other volume saving measures, including using less insulation, installing a lighter sound system, and removing the compartments in the center console and door panel. .
Thanks to all these changes, the Bugatti Divo has a gravity of 1.6 G when accelerating and completing the Nardò circuit circuit, which is 12.5 km longer than the Bugatti Chiron. Bugatti also said the car offers a rich and exciting driving experience on winding roads.
Divo cars attract from appearance to cabin, two-tone interior with Divo Gray Alcantara leather seats contrast with Divo Racing Blue accents. Many carbon fiber details and metal accents are grayed out. The wider design of the palm rest adds to the comfort and shifts behind the steering wheel for greater ease of handling.
Bugatti Divo is named after the Frenchman Albert Divo. This car will be manufactured to a limit of 40 units worldwide. Sale price of the new "monster" about 5.8 million.
