Hipnotic Hypnos

in car •  7 years ago  (edited)

In 2008 I had the opportunity to visit Bologna motor show in Italy with my college friends. I saw so many different cars and concepts, but this one was just hard to forget. I quite liked it, but feel free to check it out and share with me your opinion about it.

I never saw anything so futuristic up close before, so I decided to show you the mentioned car.

Citroën revealed its new concept car, Hypnos. An elegant and distinctive cross-over vehicle, Hypnos explores new avenues in the design of luxury ecological vehicles. This innovative and particularly simple set-up is a perfect fit with the dynamic performance and traction while delivering impressively low fuel consumption and emissions.

The initial appeal of the exterior styling is transfered also in the cabin, with its original colors, makes the technology more human and approachable, like having color therapy in body-hugging seats. The concept car’s rear-hinged doors and color-splashed interior is drawing bypassers in and make them want to climb aboard.

As I read on the web, apparently a ceiling-mounted camera films the driver’s face and regularly measures anthropometric data. The system compares these measures with pre-recorded data to gauge the driver’s state of mind and adjusts the cabin lighting and scented air-freshener fragrance in consequence. Something different, right?

You must be someone who have a rich taste for cars. The car looks quite old fashioned but I think it is elegant and quite flashy.

Oh, believe me, I don't drive a flashy car in the real life. I just like to see something new and exciting. I had a blast on this two-day trip, and I have tons of photos which I just can't post in one day.😉

super memories

Indeed! It was such fun...

So amazing!

Thank you for stopping. I'm glad you like it.

I like the smooth curves of this car and have mixed feelings about the coloured interior @emmamia. Can't decide if I like that or not. 😁

I completely misread yout title though and was surprised to find a car on your post as I thought it said hippos! 😂

Lol... It's a bit confusing. 😉 But I got your attention, and I must say it's the whole point of making a post here on Steemit. Drawing attention and showing something interesting to others.

I love the curves of outside, and some details of it. Especially those hinges were really something new for me to see. I just don't want to know how they planned to sustain the cleanliness of the car on the inside.. 😉 Real dust collector.

I think this car eventually became Citroen Cactus. I may be wrong but it does have a few identical lines, doesn't it?

Nice observation. I agree with you that some lines are similar, but I think the Hypnos is on a little higher level.😉

Hypnotic Hypnos....great play on words....loved it!!!

I have never seen anything so colorful inside a car before...fun! And the lines on the car are pretty smooth. Aerodynamic, I think. I wonder what the price tag is?? 😱

Thnx... :D I needed a while to figure out the title for it... :)

Me also, not before, and not after that... I agree that the lines on the outside are just stunning. About the price tag, I don't know it, but I also don't know if they developed it further, or it stayed on the point of a concept.
