Porsche celebrates 70th anniversary

Porsche gave a start for the 70th birthday celebrations. Porsche will celebrate its birthday with numerous events to be held worldwide this year.

For the past 70 years, the Porsche brand has become synonymous with top-end sports car production. The first car to be named Porsche was produced on 8 June 1948. This was 356 No: 1 Roadster and symbolized the birth of the Porsche brand. Type 356 turned Ferry Porsche's sports car dream into reality. Speaking at the New Year's Reception at the Porsche Museum, Porsche AG Chief Executive Officer Oliver Blume reminded Ferry Porsche of the following words: "The vision that we have at that time has all the values that make up the brand identity today."
