Mercedes G-Class 2018: unveils the interior
The Casa della Stella has released images of the interior of the new Mercedes G-Class, which will be premiered at the Detroit Motor Show 2018.
It is the image of the Stella off-road since 1979 , when the first of 300,000 Mercedes G-Class models emerged , able to establish itself as one of the best off-road vehicles and in recent years to regain a second youth in the glossy world of the jet set thanks to targeted aesthetic interventions.
The massive and angular look of the first generation will probably be inherited from the second, aesthetically refined and improved in technical contents. The real transformation instead concerns the interiors , whose images have been disseminated on the Mercedes-Benz site . The news that leaps to the eye is twice as display 12.3-inch , already appreciated on Class E and Class S and also for the new Class .
The two screens, widely customizable in terms of graphics and colors, show the functions of speedometer, tachometer and odometer on the left side, with the right side dedicated to the infotainment system . The G-Class 2018 dashboard will be lined with high-quality materials, with standard wood paneling and optional carbon fiber details. In the new interior, modernly aligned with the wireless charging compartment of smartphones, there will be numerous details to underline the link with the '79 class model, such as the vertical door openers and the handle in front of the passenger seat.
According to the House, the internal space will increase by 15 cm in the area of the knees on the back bench and 6.8 cm at the elbows for those sitting in front. The preview of the new G-Class is scheduled at the Detroit Motor Show scheduled for January 13-28, 2018.
