Cupra will display the e-Racer on the Cupra stand next to the Seat stand at the show.
Cupra will also take on all the work Seat-Sport used to run including becoming the main reference point for the TCR International Series they run with the Leon Cup Racer. They will also produce the sports cars for the VW group including the TCR Audi RS3 LMS and VW Golf GTI TCR at regional and international level.
The new e-Racer is something Cupra are looking to get a head start in what they see as the future of motorsport. A clean modern car that fits into today's environmental world and gives performance and racing entertainment without the side effects.
The car looks aggressive and can do 0-200kmh in 8.2 seconds and a top speed of 270kph. The motor produces instant torque and a constant 300KW of power. It can also produce 500KW of power for short bursts.
I think the body kit manufacturers will do very well with this design as it looks fantastic and modifying a normal Cupra to look like this will make you a firm favourite at the local show.
