The new 2022 Mahindra Scorpio, which is currently in its final testing phase, will come with improved styling, better equipped interior and more powerful engines. Besides these significant updates, the SUV will receive a new platform borrowed from the new Thar and have bigger dimensions. Its engine setup will include the 2.0L, 4-cylinder mHawk diesel and 2.0L, 4-cylinder turbo petrol unit.

All-New 2022 Mahindra Scorpio Launch In June – Report
The new-generation Mahindra Scorpio is surely one of the biggest new car launches of the next year. While its official launch date is yet to be announced, a fresh media report says it might hit roads in June 2022. The fact behind this speculation is the Scorpio SUV was first introduced on 20th June 2002. Now, it has completed 20 successful years and in order to celebrate its 20th anniversary its next-generation model might be launched in June next year.
The new 2022 Mahindra Scorpio, which is currently in its final testing phase, will come with improved styling, better equipped interior and more powerful engines. Besides these significant updates, the SUV will receive a new platform borrowed from the new Thar and have bigger dimensions. Its engine setup will include the 2.0L, 4-cylinder mHawk diesel and 2.0L, 4-cylinder turbo petrol unit.
While the oil burner will deliver power worth 155bhp with 360Nm of torque, the gasoline motor will make 150bhp with 300Nm. The SUV model lineup will be offered with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox. All variants will have RWD (rear-wheel drive) system as standard, while AWD will be reserved for higher trims.
Reports suggest that the new Scorpio will offer 4 off-road drive modes – Rock, Snow, Mud and 4 High and 4 Low for AWD system. The automaker might also introduce mild hybrid technology on the new model, thus making it comply with the upcoming CAFA (Corporate Average Fuel Economy) and RDE (Real Driving Emission) standards that will be implemented from 2022.
As mentioned above, the new 2022 Mahindra Scorpio will have more feature-laden interior offering a 360 degree parking camera, a bigger and new touchscreen infotainment system with the latest smartphone connectivity, a flat bottom steering, dual-tone (Brown and Black) leatherette upholstery, a digital MID, an electric sunroof, connected car features, and a semi digital instrument console.
