Car Accident!

I got into a car accident just this afternoon and I felt like sharing my experience with fellow members of the SteemIt community.

It was 5:14PM and I am driving down a road in a residentual area. On a cross section, a motorcyclist suddenly appeared in my sight and before I had the time to stop my car, I hit right into him.

"SHIT" my first reaction, immediately I pulled the hand brake and went down of my vehicle to carry him up. Luckily he wasn't seriously injured, no cut no bleeding, only muscle straining on his abdomen.

He was lucky that I wasn't speeding, if not he'll be under my car. I got on my car and pulled over, at the same time he was walking slowly to the side. I asked if he could speak English, but he could only converse in Malay. He is a Singh. He told me he was calling his boss to settle the issue with me, so I waited at the spot until his boss arrived.

Another Singh, who could speak English, first checked out his employee before talking with me.

As I am a probationer driver, I didn't want to bring this up to the police station and just wanted to settle this on the spot. Clearly, I am on my rightful way and in an acceptable speed of 30-40km/h. Whereas the motorcyclist, did not stop at a stop sign and came out of the cross section as if there wasn't any vehicle on the road.

However, I am the one who hit him with a car, and he was still in pain, the boss said he would bring his employee to the clinic first, and I agreed. We exchanged phone numbers and I told him, if there's any serious shit, contact me; if it's just a small muscle strain, we are better off like that. Since I hurt him, and the accident resulted my car dented and scratched on the hood.

Back home, I gave him a text to follow up whether the guy is alright, he immediately read it and ignored it. As I have a camcorder in my car, I only realized the motorcyclist didn't have his helmet on but just a turban! And I thought, did the motorcyclist even have a license, or was he just an illegal immigrant. Argh! I should've asked him to compensate for my damages on the car. But I really don't want to take this to the police and get my probationer license cancelled.

What a unlucky day....
