A recent study put out by Clever Real Estate found that recent Gen Z College Graduates are overestimating their starting salaries by $50,000. In the world of Entrepreneurship, Side Hustles and Making Money Online on Youtube, the topic of college and whether college is worth it or whether college is a scam is a common one. It's interesting to see how out of line expectations are from reality when it comes to recent college graduates, especially in today's world where so much data is at their fingertips from sites like Glassdoor and Indeed to Youtube Videos about jobs and careers.

Another really interesting thing about this is the huge jump they saw between 2019 and 2022. In 2019 college graduates overestimated their starting salaries by about 10k however fast forward 3 years later and they're overestimating starting salaries by upwards of $50,000 with Journalism Grads being the most far off in terms of expectation versus reality.

What do you think leads to this gap? And what can we attribute the jump in salary expectations between 2019 and 2022 to? If you'd like to give the article or the study a read you can do so below.
