Carnival / Mardi Gras in New Orleans! It's Nola's 300th Birthday...and I got hit in the face with beads...

O.K. so technically, this happened at 'Carnival' as Mardi Gras isn't for two more days. But, yesterday at one of the parades the Krewe of Endmyion proceeded down Canal Street, and this woman with a sign that read "You throw like a girl" was infront...and being a jerk. She was blocking the view of those behind her and telling them to move when they complained...at a packed parade spot. Now, she is already being a b!@!# but then she held the sign high so that the already intoxicated float krewe started hurling beads at her sign like softballs! They bounced off the dam sign and hit people around her...including me! To this woman, you are a jerk.

To the Krewe of Endymion on floats 3-5, "What the fuck?! Dudes, those things hurt! Learn to throw right! Also, you might want to rethink the "Maids of Endymion" float. It was thundering and lightning and these poor girls are attached to metal poles like bait.

Also, it REALLY sucked that King Endymion got booed...but maybe he should have had beads to throw. I know the krewe has to buy there own for upwards of 1K per float, so the King really has no excuse.
This parade was almost violent in throws, but it got better...until the downpour...

I loved the family style parades in Slidell, and on a fun note my GPS pronounced it Slid-el and I wonder if there is a Pokemon with that name.

Now, the night parades in the French Quarter were really brutal in their satire and it was a bit tough to take at first, until you got the image...then it was brilliant.

I got a golden...begal from Krewe delusion! 'i'm not sure what it means, but it's cool.
