Nutrition
As I predicted in yesterday's post, I ate pretty early this morning. Around 10 am, I made a massive meal. I cooked up a pound of 85/15 ground beef I got from Butcher Box, which I still do get sometimes, despite not loving the fact that the beef comes from so far away. I can't afford to support only small, local-ish farms at the moment, but it's something I'm working toward.
I had a sad amount of bacon available to cook... two whole pieces. I cooked that up in the air fryer while I was cooking the beef in a skillet. I browned the beef instead of cooking it into patties, which I like to do sometimes when I want to keep the rendered fat. I was running low on tallow.
In my other skillet, I cooked up eight scrambled eggs. When everything was done, I put it all together. A pound of ground beef, eight scrambled eggs, two strips of bacon, and three kinds of raw milk cheese that I shredded up. All in all, it was over 2000 calories in a single meal, but I don't feel stuffed or anything.
I made a steak for dinner. A strip loin. And four more eggs. Yeah, that’s a lot of eggs. What’s it to you?! Kidding, of course. I was originally going to make a New York strip I got from Colorado Craft Beef, but I totally thought the package contained two steaks. Nope... it was one big 1.5-pound steak. Because it was frozen anyway, I’m leaving it to thaw and will eat it tomorrow when I’ve got an appetite for a steak that big. The one I made was only about 10 oz.
Healing
My target was 8:30 am in order to hit 16 hours, but I ate around 10 am like I mentioned. I was pretty hungry by that point, but certainly not starving.
Movement: Sad Stella again... all movement was indoors.
You can read about it in my daily Actifit post here.
Someday, maybe I'll get a treadmill and a standing desk. That would be a nice way to get in some steps while I get some work done on any day, but especially shitty, rainy winter days.
It was really, really difficult to get my 10,000
Mindset
I listened to episode 49 of The Ancestral Mind podcast, which featured an interview with Dr. Shawn Baker, author of The Carnivore Diet. I'm still in the middle of that book, sort of on hold as I finish a novel that my wife and I both wanted to read to do a little book club sort of thing. She finished it like a month or more ago and I'm still working on it.

Get $30 off your first Butcher Box! Grass-fed, grass-finished meat delivered to your door (US only)
I have to have a look at this. The Butcher Box reminds me of a guy who used to deliver and cut meat at our house when I was a kid. Butcher on Wheels (or something like that). Great post. Thanks.
