This is my first post on Steemit, and I want to share some of the main authors and leaders of the low carb, high fat, ketogenic, carnivore way of life. I think the state of ketosis is natural and reverses insulin resistance, the leading marker of chronic disease. I think humans have been eating meat for millions of years and its one of the only reasons we're so advanced - we are smart, social, cunning hunters - the apex predator. I think our bodies have changed to digest meat best and our brains are made to use a lot of fat from animals. There are good reasons why these views aren't commonplace, and they have to deal with how the marketplace has changed to sell low-fat foods to a population petrified of eating saturated fat. I think it takes reading about five of the following books to truly get a grasp of how bad the metabolic syndrome epidemic is and how the best cure is putting the population on a mostly meat ketogenic diet. Personally, I'm trying to remove all plants as well and I think there is good research that supports this as a healthy diet, however, it's a much smaller and more specific body of research, and difficult to parse. However, there are many people that are successfully eating just meat and documenting their experiences online. I suppose my steemit will be another documentation.
