feeling especially legit this morning, wanted to share that energy with you all and maybe your having an eleven o’clock break or something and I wanted to just document a little bit of the randomness that happens on a day to day around here working remotely.
I’ve got a bunch of client work to wrap up today and then the rest of the week is gravy, that’s the wonderful thing about having the ability to do hourly work, my taxes get taken care of and I can really work out what I need from that and how much time I have to put into other creative projects.
This line today in the ‘remote community’ piece really hit home with me.
"It's not about moral superiority - it's more to do with having more control over your own hands-on environment.
I ran into a situation a few years back with some ‘business’ men that tried to make me believe that I was trying to take the moral high ground on wanting to live a more sustainable life, like it was bad for the economy or I was trying to have something over them that they did not have — it really rattled me that anyone could even have that jaded view.
Anyway, I got over it, like I do and here I am four years later completely detached from the city life and slowly working on making a sustainable future for me and the people around me, it’s slowly coming together.
