The Porsche Motorsport department presents the latest creation of Weissach at the Geneva Motor Show: the 911 GT3 RS with competition chassis and 383 kW (520 hp), a four-liter atmospheric engine. The new high performance sports car is based on the 911 GT3 which has been enhanced to combine a high performance engine with a reconfigured directional rear axle for maximum levels of dynamic behavior and precision. The 911 GT3 RS accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.2 seconds, reaching a top speed of 312 km / h. Following the launch of the 911 GT3 and the 911 GT2 RS, the latter creation represents, within a year, the third GT sports car approved for road use. Aerodynamics and passenger compartment based on race specification The aerodynamics determined the design of the broad and lightweight body with its characteristic fixed rear wing. The racing car image continues in the cockpit with the integral carbon bacquets to provide lateral support in highly dynamic driving situations. Lightweight door panels with storage nets and opening straps, reduced soundproofing material and new lightweight rear door emphasize the consistency of choice of materials.
The most powerful atmospheric engine with 520 hp The four-liter, four-liter, atmospheric engine of the new Porsche 911 GT3 RS raises the sports car to new heights: the Boxer engine delivers 15 kW (20 hp) more than the previous model's engine and 911 GT3. Together with a maximum rpm of 9,000 rpm, it is the ideal choice as purebred sport engine. Combined with the specially calibrated seven-speed PDK gearbox, the high-performance engine ensures extraordinary driving dynamics. Car-inspired chassis and Clubsport Package The technology directly extracted from motor sport guarantees that the chassis offers exceptional driving dynamics. Ball joints on all arms offer even greater precision compared to conventional elastokinematic bearings. Lightweight 20 "wheels with newly developed 265/35 front-end sports tires ensure agility and precise steering, while the 21" wheels with 325/30 tires on the rear axle improve traction. As with all GT sports cars, the Clubsport Package is also available for the 911 GT3 RS at no extra cost. The package includes safety cell, manual extinguisher, preparation for a battery disconnect switch and six-point seat belt for a sporty driving experience. Weissach package and magnesium wheels for additional weight reduction For particularly ambitious drivers, the Porsche Motorsport department has created the optional Weissach Package for even more evident weight reduction. The package includes additional carbon components for the chassis, passenger compartment and exterior, as well as optional magnesium wheels. In its lighter configuration, this package reduces the weight of the 911 GT3 RS to 1,430 kilograms. Launch and prices The 911 GT3 RS is already available for ordering. It arrives in the Portuguese market in mid-April 2018. Prices for the new high-performance sport start at 250,515 euros, including taxes.
