A key player in motorsport, the Italian Dallara puts on the market its first car homologated for the road in 45 years of history.
The Stradale ("road" in Italian) is a tribute to the founder of the brand Giampaolo Dallara, 81 years old.
A modular tray
Dallara is a well known name on tours around the world. There are countless Formula 3, Formula 3000, Formula 1, which he has designed since its creation in 1972. But it was not until November 16, 2017, anniversary of the birth of its founder Giampaolo Dallara, that the manufacturer presents his first road car.
For its designers, the Stradale is the successful synthesis of 5 decades of experience in the world of motor racing. In its basic configuration, the Dallara Stradale is a two-seater racing boat without doors. But several variations are possible: the roadster configuration adds a windshield, which can be grafted a T-frame, transforming the Stradale targa.
At ease on the road and on the track
In additional options, Dallara has designed a pair of butterfly opening doors to make a coupe. For lovers of lap times, an impressive flap is also provided in the catalog, providing up to 820 kilos of support at maximum speed. Under the bodywork, Dallara also offers adjustable suspensions to lower the chassis race configuration. The handling is stabilized by the latest ESP control systems developed by Bosch.
The set weighs only 855 kilos, thanks to the exclusive use of composite materials and carbon fiber. On the engine side, there is a Ford 4-cylinder 2.3 liter unit developing 400 hp and 500 Nm, driven by 6-speed manual gearbox. Dallara offers an optional robotised box with control pad placed on the steering wheel. Thanks to all its advantages, the Dallara Stradale engulfs the 0 to 100 km / h in only 3.25 seconds, for a top speed of 280 km / h.
I want the same ;)
