At friday's Tesla event, after unveiling the new electric semi-truck, Musk surprises the world by introducing the second-generation Roadster.
Musk claimed the base model will do 0 to 60 mph (0 to 100 km/h) in 1.9 seconds. If true, that would make it the first time a production vehicle cracked the two-second threshold.
For the big spenders out here: the base model can be reserved from $50.000 and production won't start until 2020.
