The Porsche 934 is the racing version of the 911 Sport at the end of the 70's and beginning of 80's. It was introduced for the 1976 season in the FIA Group 4 GT, road-legal race cars. At this time, you can drive your Porsche to the race, participate to the competition and drive it back home again ! But in 1979, it was over. Only 31 examples were built and sold to private racing team.

Its siblings, the Porsche 935 was very successful in the FIA Group 5, especially at the 1979 24 Hours of Le Mans, with a fourth overall position despite many purpose-built race cars.

This example was bought by Kannacher GT Racing and Kremer Racing in order to compete during in European events. This 934, with behind the wheel the French drivers Anne-Charlotte Verney, Patrick Bardinon, René Metge, finished this same race (1979 Le Mans) in 3rd position in its class and 19th Overall.

The 934 was a beast both on road and on circuit.

Thanks for sharing this beautiful car with us! Looking like an absolute beast with that red paintwork, contrasting well with the gold BBS wheels. I've never followed along these old Porsches, but I'm glad that you've given me that chance. Oh, I miss the old days where racing cars are inherently road legal.

Back when you could drive to a track, race, win, and drive on back with your trophy - but not so possible with today's performance cars. This looks like a really well restored car, seemingly like it came fresh from the factory. Great looking interior, too! The performance is also a shocker - 485hp and a top speed of 300km/h are wild figures today, let alone in the 70s. Driving this back in the day must've been a blast :-)

Impressive performance for a roald-legal car... It must be a thrill to be behind the wheel of this beast.
